Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using PrimeScan ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using PrimeScan, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PrimeScan, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
PrimeScan is a mobile application for iOS that provides document scanning, PDF creation, PDF signing, PDF merging, PDF compression, ID card scanning, passport scanning, photo-to-PDF conversion, and file management capabilities. All processing is performed locally on your device.
3. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use PrimeScan on your personal iOS device for personal and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's source code
4. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The content you scan, create, edit, sign, or share using the App
- Ensuring your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not using the App to create fraudulent, forged, or illegal copies of documents
- Backing up your documents, as all data is stored locally on your device
- The accuracy and legality of any signatures or annotations you add to documents
5. Sensitive Documents
PrimeScan allows scanning of identification documents such as ID cards and passports. You acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for securing scanned copies of your identity documents
- You should only scan documents that you are legally permitted to copy
- PrimeScan does not transmit or store identity documents externally
- You use this feature at your own risk and discretion
6. Intellectual Property
PrimeScan and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PrimeScan and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The documents you create using the App remain your property.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
PrimeScan is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy or reliability of scan results
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Compatibility with all devices or iOS versions
We do not guarantee that scanned documents will be legally equivalent to original documents. The legal validity of digitally signed documents depends on your jurisdiction.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrimeScan and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or documents
- Loss of business or revenue
- Any damages resulting from unauthorized use of scanned documents
- Any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App
9. Data and Backups
All documents and data created with PrimeScan are stored locally on your device. We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, app deletion, or any other reason. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your important documents.
10. Updates and Changes
We may update the App from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. We are not obligated to provide any updates. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time without notice.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
