PrimeScan ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use PrimeScan for iOS.
1. Offline-First Design
PrimeScan is designed as an offline-first application. All document scanning, image processing, PDF creation, signing, merging, compression, and file management operations happen entirely on your device. Your documents are never uploaded to any server or cloud service.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or have access to:
- Your scanned documents, PDFs, or images
- Your signatures or annotations
- Your personal identity documents (ID cards, passports)
- Your file names, folder names, or file contents
- Your contacts, messages, or browsing history
- Any personal information such as name, email, or address
3. Device Permissions
PrimeScan requests the following device permissions:
- Camera: Required to scan documents using your device's camera. Camera data is processed locally and never transmitted externally.
- Photo Library: Required to import photos for conversion to PDF. Selected photos are processed locally on your device.
You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's Settings app.
4. Analytics & Crash Reporting
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to help us understand general app usage patterns and identify crashes. This may include:
- Anonymous usage events (e.g., which features are used)
- Crash logs and diagnostic data
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- General location (country-level, not precise)
This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. No document content or personal data is included in analytics. You can limit analytics data collection through your device's privacy settings.
5. Local Data Storage
All documents, PDFs, signatures, and settings are stored locally on your device within the app's sandboxed storage. This data is:
- Protected by iOS's built-in security and encryption
- Only accessible by PrimeScan
- Deleted when you uninstall the app or manually delete files within the app
6. Third-Party Services
PrimeScan uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous usage analytics. Firebase Privacy Policy

We do not use any advertising services, tracking SDKs, or data brokers.
7. Children's Privacy
PrimeScan does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require account creation or any personal information to function.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. The only data shared externally is anonymous analytics data with Firebase as described in Section 4.
9. Your Rights
Since all your documents are stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data at all times. You can:
- Delete any document or file within the app
- Revoke camera or photo library permissions
- Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data
- Limit ad tracking and analytics through iOS Settings
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
